

This course includes instruction in oral interpretation, the fundamentals of public speaking, and an introduction to policy debate.
Oral Interpretation: Students will prepare and present readings from selected prose and poetry.
Fundamentals of Public Speaking: Students will research, write and deliver informative, persuasive and demonstration speeches in addition to other activities.
Policy Debate: Students will be introduced to policy debate. Each team will write affirmative cases and negative briefs in preparation for a classroom debate.
